At last the new major version of Opera has been released. The previous release was 9.64. Now it has moved on to version 10. It was finally released on 1st of September 2009. Opera 10 increases the webpage loading speed to about 40% more than its previous version. That’s a great enhancement. Here’s the first page screenshot that I took:

If you have already installed Opera, you can just go to the help menu and select check for updates. It will show that the update is available. You can download Opera 10 from there and run the installer. It will ask you whether you want to install it separately or upgrade the currently installed Opera.

Vista Transformation Pack will give to your Windows XP system the new and cool look of Microsoft's operating system: Windows Vista.

The pack changes most of the system icons, skins and toolbars and also adds new enhancements to your desktop such as a dock bar or a different system tray clock.

It is free and does a great job of giving machine a look similar to Vista.

It does have uninstallation options in case you decide you want to get rid of it, so there really isn’t anything to lose. However, when you install the software it has to overwrite some system files (it modifies things like the boot screen) so Windows will prompt you stating that your system files have been changed.

It will ask whether you want to change them back or leave them, so just leave them if you want the system to function properly.

This is a slimmed down version of Windows XP. It is really fast because it doesn't have a lot of the crap that usually bogs down Windows like Internet Explorer. I really don't have that great of a description for this because this is not an official Microsoft product. I tested this and it works really fast. It's not a good idea to install it alongside an official copy of Windows XP. No serial is required for the install and the OS doesn't need to be activated. Have fun with this and let me know how it goes.
